Cloud 9 plan sunsetting on August 1st

Back in May, we announced upcoming changes to Backendless Cloud pricing plans with the introduction of the Scale Plan. One such change is that the Cloud 9 and Cloud 99 Plans will be sunsetting in the coming months.

As announced, the Cloud 9 Plan will no longer be available starting August 1st, 2023.

Pricing Transition Timeline

If you are currently on the Cloud 9 Plan, you have four options available.

  1. Switch to the Scale Plan – The Scale Plan has the same starting limits as the Cloud 9 plan, but uses variable pricing based on daily API consumption.
  2. Switch to the Cloud 99 Plan – The Cloud 99 Plan will remain available until May 1st, 2024.
  3. Switch to the Free Plan – The Free Plan has lower limits and you may need to reduce your application size.
  4. Switch to the Springboard Plan* – While the Springboard Plan is no longer available for purchase or to be earned through Missions, if you have an unused Springboard Plan available, you may switch to this plan which remains available until the end of 2023.

If you do not make a switch yourself, you application(s) on the Cloud 9 plan will automatically be switched to the Scale Plan at their first billing date on or after August 1st.

Scale Plan pricing is based on the daily peak API requests per minute. To review your API usage and view estimates of what your app would have cost historically under the Scale Plan, visit Backend > Manage > Analytics.
