New Annual Plans For Backendless Cloud

by on February 1, 2021

Annual Cloud Pricing Plan Feature

We are updating the Backendless Cloud pricing plans with the addition of new annual plan option.

On March 1st, we will be launching new annual pricing plans for Backendless Cloud. Along with the introduction of these plans, app pricing will be changing.

The price for month-to-month service will be increasing for both Cloud plans. For Cloud 9, the price will increase from $25 per month to $35 per month. For Cloud 99, the price will increase from $99 per month to $149 per month.

The new annual plans will allow users to maintain the current monthly Cloud service price. For Cloud 9, the annual plan will cost $25 per month – a 40% discount off the monthly plan. For Cloud 99, the annual plan will cost $99 per month – a 33% discount off the monthly plan.

Users with an existing paid plan will need to upgrade to an annual plan to maintain your current monthly price.

As always, the Springboard Plan will remain free when unlocked through Backendless Missions and available for all users in the development stage.

FAQs

I already have a monthly plan. What happens on March 1st?

When your monthly subscription is set to renew in March, you will have the option to continue on the monthly plan at the new price or switch to an annual plan.

Can I upgrade from Cloud 9 to Cloud 99 if I'm in the middle of an annual plan?

Absolutely!

This upgrade can only be made if you remain on an annual plan. Your annual plan will be renewed for one year at the time of upgrade and your invoice will be credited with the prorated portion remaining on your Cloud 9 plan.

Can I downgrade from an annual plan to a monthly plan?

Yes, you can switch at any time. You will be issued a prorated credit for the unused portion of your annual subscription. The credit will remain on the account for the ongoing billing of the monthly subscription.

Can I have multiple apps on different plan levels and lengths?

Yes. It is not uncommon for developers to have one “staging” app on a low-level plan and one “production” app on a higher-level plan.

If I cancel my annual plan before it expires, will I get a refund?

No, we do not issue refunds.

How are Function Packs and other Marketplace purchases treated under the annual plan?

Backendless Marketplace purchases such as Function Packs will remain as one-time or monthly purchases. Purchases with a monthly fee will be charged monthly, even on an app with an annual plan.

Can I upgrade from Cloud to Backendless Pro or Managed Backendless in the middle of an annual plan?

Of course!

You will sign a new annual contract for your product of choice (Backendless Pro or Managed Backendless). Your invoice will be credited with the prorated portion remaining on your Cloud plan.
