Backendless Navigator

At A Glance

Backendless Navigator is a comprehensive search engine for all features and functions in your Backendless backend. Watch the demo video or read on to learn how Navigator works to boost your productivity in Backendless.

Search to Navigate

Backendless Console contains tons of functionality, acting as the frontend for your backend. There are over 50 “screens” at your disposal. If you aren’t familiar with Backendless, or need to have a quick way to navigate to a functional area of the product, Backendless Navigator can act as your guide. Navigator will easily take you to the function you’re looking for, even if you don’t know what it’s called. Type in a brief description of what you would like to get done, such as “create new table”, and you will be prompted to navigate to that function.

Watch Videos

Most of the Navigator’s search suggestions come with a video describing the functionality. We recorded these videos as mini-tutorials describing how each function works and how to use or configure it in Backendless Console. The videos play right in the Console, so you don’t need to switch back and forth between the video player and your work environment.

Ask "How to" Questions

In addition to helping you find a function or a screen in Backendless Console, you can also ask Navigator “How to” questions. Navigator will offer you videos to watch and links to articles that provide answers to your questions. Additionally, if you’re looking for Backendless API documentation (which is available on our website), you can simply ask Navigator for “api doc” and open the product documentation that fits your app. You can also ask for specific docs, such as “android api”.
